Taste Trenton restaurant crawl event returns after a one-year hiatus

Taste Trenton, a popular event featuring self-guided tours of restaurants in the capital city, will be held June 11 through June 13. The event was not held in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Bernard McMullan, the coordinator of the event, said 30 restaurants across Trenton have registered to participate in the 2021 restaurant crawl so far, including six new restaurants that have opened since Taste Trenton was last held in June of 2019.

“Restaurants are anxious to welcome back patrons this year.” McMullan said. “With the loosening of pandemic restrictions, restaurant owners want to reintroduce themselves to people who love food in Trenton.”

Taste Trenton anticipates adding another five to ten restaurants to the final list. The deadline for restaurant registration is May 24. Restaurants offer special reduced-price menu items during the event that gives people an opportunity to sample food from many restaurants and cultures.

This year’s event coincides with the Mill Hill Garden Tour on June 12, and an open house at the Mercer Cemetery at Trenton, which is located across from the Trenton Transit Center.

Wristbands and other information about Taste Trenton 2021 will be posted at TasteTrenton.com. Wristbands go on sale May 24.
