Princeton resident James Bash created a time-lapse video of a large, 19th-century Victorian home at 110 Prospect Avenue being moved within the Prospect Avenue Historic District. The relocation took place in two parts on the mornings of Nov. 10 and 11. Princeton University will renovate and restore the building, along with the two neighboring houses of the same era that are located at 114 and 116 Prospect Avenue.

Residents, historians, and Princeton university alums fought to preserve the three Victorian homes. Princeton University officials claimed the homes could not be saved and needed to be torn down to make way for a pavilion that will be part of the new environmental sciences and engineering complex. After months of debate, the university reached a compromise with the community. All three homes and the former Court Club eating club were saved.

The Prospect Avenue Historic District was created by the Princeton Council in July and will protect historic buildings on the street from being torn down.
