Youth ensemble tryouts for A Christmas Carol will be held Aug. 12 at McCarter Theatre

“A Christmas Carol” is an annual tradition in Princeton at McCarter Theatre, and a favorite part of that tradition is seeing local children take part in the youth ensemble.

Members of the Young Ensemble have the opportunity to perform alongside professional actors on McCarter’s Matthews stage.

Maybe you could be the next Martha, Belinda, Peter, or Tiny Tim. If you are between the ages of eight and 14 and would like to try out for a role in the youth ensemble, register online for a time slot for Saturday, Aug. 12. Youth ensemble time slots are 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. Check in when you arrive at McCarter Saturday at the Berlind Theater lobby.

Participants in the casting call will be asked to sing, dance, and act, all in a supportive environment. No professional experience is required.
