Pennington man dies after crash on Fackler Road in Lawrence

A 78-year-old man from Pennington died as a result of injuries he sustained after crashing into a tree on Fackler Road in Lawrence Tuesday afternoon. Police said the crash appeared to be related to a medical issue.

Jared Fowler crashed into a tree just after 2:30 p.m. in the area of Fackler Road and Deer Run. Fowler was taken to Capital Health System Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he
succumbed to his injuries.

Janne Fowler, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained significant non-life-threatening injuries.

The Lawrence Township Police Department was assisted by the Lawrence Township Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, Capital Health System Advanced Life Support, and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.


Fackler Road was closed for about three hours Tuesday.
