Nora Elliott, a rising eighth grader at Timberlane Middle School, is the winner of the 2023 cover art contest for the Hopewell Harvest Fair.

Elliott’s watercolor painting of the fair will be featured on the cover of the Hopewell Harvest Fair Almanac, which will be available in late August.

The Hopewell Harvest Fair will be held at Hopewell Elementary School on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair, an annual local tradition, also raises funds for local non-profits.

The Harvest Moon Concert, a free live music event the night before the fair to kick off the celebration, will return this year. The concert will be held at Hopewell Borough Gazebo Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Local band Castle Lane will perform, and there will be food available for sale provided by the Hopewell Fire Department. The concert is sponsored by the Morehouse Family in honor of the Hopewell Fire Department and Emergency Medical Unit.

The fair will feature food, inflatables, and a new dining tent. Fairgoers can meet local business owners, buy produce from local farmers, check out handmade crafts, and enter several contests. Children’s activities include pony rides, a petting zoo, obstacle courses, and games.

Proceeds from the fair go to scholarships for local students and grants for nonprofit organizations. The Hopewell Harvest Fair Community Grant Program has given out more than $225,000 to local nonprofits including the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, local school PTOs, HomeFront, WomanSpace, and other organizations.
